I started compiling a list of books to read to learn Machine learning. With internet at our finger tip learning something is becoming easy and challenging at the same time. I tend to diviate from my core learning goals. At time I spend the whole day jumping from topic to topic finally learning nothing. Finally, I decided to read books where the learning is more structured and one don’t get distracted easily. Below are the books I am starting with.
- Tree-based Machine Learning Algorithms: Decision Trees, Random Forests, and Boosting by Clinton Sheppard.
- Liking this book, building decision trees are fun.
- Deep Learning Book by Ian Goodfellow and et al. from MIT
- Some where it is mentioned that one should be able to read and understand the first 12 chapters. One can easily get the PDF version of this book.
